Singhu border farmers' protest: A second Nihang has been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of a Dalit labourer at the Singhu border where farmers have been protesting against farm laws.
The suspect has been arrested by police in Punjab's Amritsar district. He has been identified as Nihang Narayan Singh. He surrendered before the police with "no regrets".

On Friday evening, Saravjit Singh - a Nihang - surrendered to Haryana Police who claimed responsibility for the 'gruesome' killing of 35-year-old Dalit labourer Lakhbir Singh. The deceased was found tied to a police barricade at the Singhu border with his left hand and right leg cut off.

Saravjit Singh was produced at a local court on Saturday after which he was sent to seven days of police custody. The authorities asked for 14 days' custody saying he had info on other suspects and that they had to recover the murder weapons.
In a video that emerged on Saturday, the Nihang member had "no regrets" over the killing of Lakhbir Singh.

The video - before his surrender - shows him surrounded by other Nihangs. At least two of them were still carrying swords.
The body of Lakhbir Singh, a resident of Punjab's Tarn Taran district, was discovered early Friday morning. It was tied to a police barricade with the left hand and right foot cut off.
