New Delhi, January 9: Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the three-match international (ODI) series against Sri Lanka. Earlier, his name was included as a last-minute addition to India's three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka starting January 10.

However, a BCCI source on Monday said they did not want to rush the Indian pacer into action so soon on the field since he had to play in major series in the upcoming days.

Jasprit Bumrah has not featured in competitive cricket since September due to back issues. The pacer was also ruled out of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup due to a back injury.
