PBKS vs KKR: Punjab Kings on Saturday defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by seven runs (DLS method) in a rain-curtailed match of IPL 2023.
Great knocks by Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Shikhar Dhawan, followed by a three-wicket haul from Arshdeep Singh, contributed to Punjab Kings' victory.
Being asked to bat first, PBKS achieved a massive total of 191/5 in 20 overs, courtesy of Rajapaksa's 50 and Dhawan's 40.
Tim Southee took two wickets for KKR, while Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Umesh Yadav each took one. Afterwards, PBKS dominated KKR, taking early wickets until Andre Russell and Venkatesh Iyer gave the game some momentum.
However, the pair left after scoring 35 and 34, respectively. Rain later ruined the game, forcing the game to be called off, and PBKS were declared the winners by 7 runs using the DLS method.
