Rishabh Pant Car Accident News: Cricketer Rishabh Pant has reportedly blamed potholes on a section of Uttarakhand stretch behind his near-fatal accident. He had suffered multiple injuries in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway near Roorkee in the wee hours of Friday.

Although the cricketer has been shifted from the ICU to the private ward of Max Hospital, Dehradun, pain in his leg continues to persist. He has also undergone a minor plastic surgety to treat his facial injuries.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also called on Rishabh Pant at Max Hospital on Sunday and quoting the cricketer as saying" he had lost control over his car while trying to avoid a pothole and something black on the road that led to the accident".

Earlier, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sharma, who also called on Rishabh Pant on Saturday, told mediapersons that the cricketer was trying to negotiate a pothole when his Mercedes hit a divider and caught fire. His car rolled over to the other side of the road after hitting the divider.

Rajat and Nishu, who had admitted star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant to the hospital, visited him at Max Hospital in Dehradun on Monday.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday announced that the state government would provide all help for the treatment of the cricketer.
