Prime Minister Modi visited his parliamentary constituency for a two-day trip on Sunday to inaugurate 37 projects valued at over Rs 19,000 crore

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Varanasi: During the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his vision for India's development, stating that the country will become a 'Viksit' (developed) nation by 2047 if every citizen resolves to contribute to its progress. Speaking to the gathering, he urged people to make a collective commitment to transform India into a developed nation within the next 26 years.


As part of his examination, PM Modi emphasised the importance of government schemes reaching the people seamlessly. He mentioned that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra serves as a platform to assess the fulfillment of promises made and the effective implementation of initiatives. Reflecting on his responsibilities as the MP of Varanasi, he expressed gratitude for the collective efforts of individuals associated with the government, politics, and social work to make the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra a success.


During the visit, PM Modi interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes, including PM Awas, PM SWANidhi, and PM Ujjwala. He underscored the significance of timely and efficient delivery of government programs, ensuring that citizens receive the intended benefits without unnecessary hassles.

Earlier, PM Modi engaged with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra through video conferencing and flagged off the yatra in multiple states. The two-day visit to Varanasi involved launching 37 projects worth over ₹19,000 crore for the region's development. PM Modi participated in a roadshow, visited the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Exhibition, and interacted with the local community.

The Prime Minister's itinerary also includes the inauguration of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 at Namo Ghat and the flagging off of a second Vande Bharat train between Varanasi and New Delhi. On the following day, he is scheduled to visit the Swaraveda Mahamandir, participate in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program at Barki Gram Sabha, and inaugurate various projects in areas such as roads, bridges, health, education, police welfare, smart cities, urban development, railways, and airports.
