Jammu and Kashmir: SIA conducts searches at 11 places in connection with death of non-local person

Jammu and Kashmir: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducts searches at 11 places in connection with the death of a non-local person. 

The raids were conducted in south Kashmir's Anantnag, Kulgam, and Shopian districts. 


The SIA conducted these searches as part of its ongoing investigation into the death of Raja Sah, a non-local street seller, on April 17, 2024, in Jablipota, Bijbehara, with the goal of uncovering any larger criminal plot. 

J&K police said in a statement posted on X, "These searches were conducted by SIA in connection with the ongoing investigation about the killing of non-local street vendor Raja Sah on April 17 2024 at Jablipota, Bijbehara to ascertain larger criminal conspiracy behind this killing.

The action follows after a case was registered at Bijbehara police station.

The searches yielded a variety of things, including mobile phones, electronic devices, and documents related to the investigation, which will be forensically examined. 

In addition, authorities in Baramulla attached properties worth thousands of rupees belonging to two Pakistan-based terrorist handlers under relevant parts of the law. 

As per an official statement, "Police in Baramulla after obtaining attachment order passed by Hon'ble Sub Judge Uri attached properties (1 Kanal & 11 Marlas) land worth lacs belonging to 2 terror handlers based in Pakistan namely Mohd Arif Badal son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Nawarunda & Mohd Bashir son of Mir Alam resident of Gowhallan Uri".

Furthermore, on May 11, two terrorist associates were caught during a joint Naka checking operation, and a FIR was filed in relation to the incident.
