New Delhi, July 3: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, his father and former railways minister Lalu Prasad, and mother and former chief minister Rabri Devi in connection with the land for jobs scam case, as per officials' statements on Monday.

This is the second chargesheet in the case and includes the names of 14 other individuals. It has been filed based on additional documents and evidence that emerged after the initial chargesheet was submitted, according to sources.

Apart from the members of the Yadav family, the CBI has also implicated AK Infosystems and several middlemen in the case.

The chargesheet was presented in a special CBI court as the alleged roles of the accused could not be fully covered in the initial report.

The CBI alleges that during Lalu Prasad's tenure as minister in the UPA government from 2004 to 2009, favored candidates were appointed in the railways, bypassing established norms and procedures, without any advertisement or public notice.

Furthermore, the agency claims that individuals from Patna were appointed in various zonal railways across Mumbai, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Hazipur as part of this scam.

In return, these candidates or their immediate family members allegedly sold land to Lalu Prasad's family at significantly discounted rates, suggesting a quid pro quo arrangement.
