PTC Web Desk: In a tragic incident in Hathaikheda of Hasanpur Kotwali, Amroha district, Uttar Pradesh, a five-year-old girl died due to a suspected 'heart attack' while watching cartoons on a cellphone. The incident occurred on Sunday, where the girl was lying on the bed next to her mother with the cellphone when it suddenly fell from her hands, leading her to become unconscious. Despite being quickly taken to a nearby private hospital, she was declared "brought dead."

The in-charge of Hasanpur community health centre, Dhruvendra Kumar, said the cause of the death might be a heart attack. Amroha Chief Medical Officer Satyapal Singh said they had requested the family to allow a post-mortem examination, but the family did not agree. The authorities are treating the incident as a matter of investigation to determine whether the five-year-old girl's death resulted from a heart attack or some other underlying medical condition.

This unfortunate event is not isolated, as similar incidents have been reported in UP over the past two months. More than 10 children and young individuals have reportedly died in a similar manner, experiencing "heart attacks" in both Amroha and Bijnor districts. One such case involved a 16-year-old named Prince Kumar, who collapsed while playing cricket in Hasanpur area on December 31, 2023. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was also declared "brought dead." The situation raises concerns and emphasises the need for a thorough investigation into the recurring incidents in the region.
