Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched Ujjwala 2.0 (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana - PMUY) by handing over liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) connections at Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba through videoconferencing.
How to apply? The enrollment requires minimal paperwork. Migrants will not be required to submit ration cards or address proof to get the benefit. The applicant must be a woman and the age should be more than 18 years. She must be from a BPL family and have a BPL card and ration card. There shall not be LPG connection in the name of any family member of the applicant.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana application can be made through the offline mode by filling and submitting the application form at the nearest LPG distribution agency. While in the online mode, the applicant can go to the official website pmujjwalayojana.com and download the form and have to submit this form at the nearest LPG centre.
