California: Mass shooting at Chinese New Year event, several dead

Several people were killed in a shooting at a Chinese New Year party in Los Angeles, according to reports.
According to Los Angeles Times, Police were attending a shooting in Monterey Park, California with multiple casualties on Saturday night.
According to the newspaper, the shooting occurred after 10 p.m. (0600 GMT) near the site of a Chinese Lunar New Year celebration in Monterey Park.
Earlier in the day, tens of thousands of people had attended the festival.
Monterey Park is a city in Los Angeles County located approximately 7 miles (11 kilometres) from downtown Los Angeles.
