Firing reported at Punjabi singer Ammy Virks convoy in Canadas Abbotsford after concert: Sources

According to sources, Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk's convoy was allegedly targeted in the firing.

PTC News Desk: A convoy linked to Punjabi singer Ammy Virk was reportedly targeted in shooting in British Columbia, Canada, late Saturday, hours after his concert.


According to sources, Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk's convoy was allegedly targeted in the firing.

Abbotsford Police have confirmed a shooting in the 2500-block of McCallum Road. However, police have not yet revealed who was the intended target or confirmed whether Ammy Virk was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.


The incident took place at around 11 pm when occupants of a dark-coloured SUV allegedly opened fire at another vehicle, Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. 

SUV found completely burnt

Shortly after the shooting, police received reports of an SUV catching fire in the 2400-block of Sunnyside Place. Officers reached the spot and found the vehicle completely burned.


Investigators are now trying to determine whether the burnt SUV was connected to the shooting.


According to reports, Ammy Virk had just finished his show at Rogers Forum in Abbotsford when his vehicle was allegedly targeted. Around seven to 10 shots were reportedly fired at the car.


The bullets hit the vehicle's rear window, but no one inside was injured.


Shooting reportedly targeted Rolls-Royce


According to local sources, Ammy Virk performed at Rogers Forum Hall in Abbotsford on the night of September 5.


After the show ended, he reportedly left the venue with a convoy of vehicles at around 11 pm. At that time, people travelling in another vehicle allegedly opened fire on a Rolls-Royce in the convoy.


Police are investigating the incident and have not yet confirmed whether Ammy Virk was the intended target.
