Aruna Chaudhary
Punjab Assembly Electins 2022: Aruna Chaudhary is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). She is currently nominated as the MLA candidate from the Dina Nagar constituency of Punjab. Born on April 16th, 1957, Aruna has been elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha three times, in 2002, 2012, and now in 2017. The Congress leader inherited politics from her father-in-law, Jai Muni Chaudhary, the founder and M.L.A. of Dinanagar who was elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in the years 1967, 1972, 1980 and 1985. She is also a member of the Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Committee of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, working for the upliftment of downtrodden, destitute, and weaker sections of society. Presently, she is serving as the Cabinet Minister of Transport, Social Security, and Women and Child Development, Government of Punjab.
