Bikram Singh Majithia , Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta Kartarpur Corridor Remark

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Saturday slammed Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta over his remark on Kartarpur corridor. During an event in Panchkula on Friday, Dinkar Gupta had said that “Kartarpur has potential… you send somebody in morning, by evening he is trained terrorist.”

Likewise, Bikram Singh Majithia said, “It is highly unacceptable. DGP Dinkar Gupta is furthering Indira Gandhi’s ideology which painted every Sikh as terrorist, its deep rooted conspiracy.” He slammed Gandhi family and Congress government. He said that they want to shut down the Kartarpur Corridor.

Meanwhile, the senior SAD leader also said that “If Captain Amarinder Singh would not respond within 24 hours, and then we would raise the issue in Vidhan Sabha.” Punjab DGP had also said that “You are there for six hours, you can be taken to firing range and can be taught how to make IED.”

Earlier, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Manjinder Singh Sirsa took to twitter and slammed Punjab DGP for his remark on Kartarpur corridor. Likewise, Manjinder Singh Sirsa asked Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to take a strict action against Dinkar Gupta and asked him to give a clarification to the nation.

The Kartarpur corridor was inaugurated on November 9, three days ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of Sikh faith founder Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the integrated check post of the corridor falling on Indian side while Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had inaugurated the other part, on the Pakistan side.
