The ‘Momo’ challenge, which is going viral via WhatsApp. The challenged has raised eyebrows of the authorities around the world. The cyber authorities have also taken cognizance of the online game that has allegedly taken the life of a teenager in Argentina. The person who becomes the target in the game, receives a message challenging them to text ‘Momo', which is an unknown number. After they have done that, they are being bombarded with spooky images. The image that has been going viral on social media is that of a woman who has a distorted face, popped out eyes and a scary smile. The motive of this game is not clear as yet but the authorities have taken steps to warn people that this user might want to steal the information or promote suicides. The United States, France, Germany, Argentina and Mexico are some of the countries where the cases have been reported related to ‘Momo’. -PTC News
