CBSE board exams 2021: While the final exams are almost here, the parents and students are now requesting the Government of India to cancel or postpone board exams in the wake of rising coronavirus cases in the country.
The CBSE Board exams 2021 are scheduled to commence on May 4. The Central Board for Secondary Education has reiterated that the examinations will be conducted as per schedule.
People started raising their voices for the cancellation of CBSE board exams after the Maharashtra Government decided to promote students from classes 1 to 8 without taking exams.
While a section of society is asking the government to cancel exams, others suggested conducting exams online.
A Twitter user wrote: "We can imagine the state of mind of parents, students, and teachers in India. All want online exams or promotions through internal assessment. Cancel board exams."
Another user wrote: "Most of the state’s board exams fixed in June 2021. Why @CMOMaharashtra is in hurry to conduct exams for 3 million students this month? What’s the logic behind it? How children will be safe even when you’re not safe? Postpone it until it’s under control."
"The students have already faced a lot of problems till now in this coronavirus pandemic. Classes were held online so the exams should also be held online or students should be promoted via internal assessment marks," wrote another.
