Central Govt. withdraws Z Plus security from senior SAD leader Bikram Majithia
In a shocking act, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), which broke away from the BJP a few months back, the central government has withdrawn the Z-category security of senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia.

After receiving a letter sent by the Center, the Punjab government has now decided to review the security of Majithia to decide what kind of protection should be provided to him. Meanwhile, the SAD has called the central government's decision an act of political vendetta.
Majithia was provided with Z-category security from the central government at the request of the Akali-BJP coalition government in Punjab. The leader was constantly threatened by gangsters and the chaotic elements hidden abroad.
Under this protection, Majithia was provided with 30-40 CISF personnel and two escort vehicles.
