Punjab: Two test positive in preliminary test for coronavirus in Amritsar
While the Punjab government has clarified that the coronavirus had not been declared as an epidemic in Punjab, two men from the state, who returned from Italy on Wednesday, have been tested positive for coronavirus in the preliminary test. The duo has been admitted to the isolation ward of the Guru Nanak Dev Hospital (GNDH) in Amritsar.
As per the report, both the patients showed symptoms of the disease when they arrived at Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport in Amritsar, from the European country, through the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Meanwhile, their samples have been sent for the second confirmation examination. The results for the second test will be out by Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
