Rajpura reports 18 new cases; Patiala Police books 2 corona positive persons for violating curfew orders

As many as 18 new positive cases were reported from Rajpura taking the Patiala district tally to 49. The Civil Surgeon Dr. Harish Malhotra confirmed that 18 new cases were tested positive in Rajpura. Dr. Malhotra further said that the persons who have tested positive have been shifted to the isolation ward of the Government Rajindra Hospital. He stated that the screening of residents in Rajpura has been completed 60 percent while in Patiala city the work is complete by 99 percent. Punjab Chief Secretary KBS Sidhu took to Twitter and wrote: "Patiala: 18 new positive cases, all related to the original Rajpura case. Total samples (RT-PCR) taken in Rajpura :70; Positive :18; Negative :52. No cause for concern; area very securely contained."

Police books two corona positive persons for irresponsible acts in Patiala
