Punjab announces public holiday on May 1 to mark Labour Day
PTC Web Desk: The Punjab Government has announced a public holiday on May 1 on International Workers' Day or Labour Day. On this day, all government offices, boards, corporations, institutions, schools and colleges across the state will remain closed.
Notably, annually, May 1 is commemorated as International Workers' Day to honour the contributions and achievements of workers worldwide.
Given the significance of this day, the Punjab Government has included May 1 in the official list of annual holidays.
