Jerusalem, March 29: Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s trip to India next week has been postponed and will be rescheduled, PM's media adviser here said on Tuesday. Naftali Bennett had tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday evening. Although he continues to work from home while in isolation, his trip to India scheduled for April 3 to 5 has been postponed. “Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s trip to India has been postponed and will be rescheduled,” the media adviser said. Both leaders had earlier met on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in Glasgow in November last year. They also had a telephonic conversation on August 16, 2021. "The visit by Bennett would be his first to India in his capacity as Prime Minister. This visit would take place on the occasion of the commemoration of 30 years of full diplomatic relations between India and Israel and 75 years of India's Independence," the MEA had earlier said in a statement.
