Captain Amarinder has replaced Sikh history with Congress history, says Diljit Singh Cheema
Deletion of 23 chapters on Sikh history and Punjab history by Captain Amid controversy on the history of the Punjab for Class 12th, Former Education Minister Diljit Singh Cheema allegedly said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has been lying over the issue of deletion of Sikh History from the Class 12th history books, here on Tuesday. Diljit Singh Cheema said, 'Captain Amarinder Singh is lying, 23 chapters on Sikh history and history of Punjab has been deleted from the class 12th history books. He has not only deleted the essence of Punjab in the history book but also replaced it with the history of Congress.' The SAD on Monday decided to hold a meeting of its core committee on May 3 to formulate an action plan to force the Congress government to reinsert all 23 “deleted” chapters related to the era of the Sikh Gurus into the Class XII history book. Presiding over a party meeting, SAD chief Sukhbir Badal took serious note of the Congress government’s “bid to belittle and insult the glorious history of the Sikh Gurus”.
