Delhi CM Kejriwal Hails SC Decision, says 'A big victory for the people of Delhi' The Supreme Court has delivered its final verdict in the favour of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and has finally put an end to the ongoing power tussle in the national capital between the Aam Aadmi Party government and the Centre, represented by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. The Kejriwal government had last year moved the apex court, accusing the Centre of encroaching upon the authority of the elected government through the L-G.
Reacting to the verdict, Soli Sorabjee,former Attorney General of India told reports, "It's a good verdict by Supreme Court. LG and Delhi Govt have to work harmoniously,'can't always have confrontation. Daily squabbles are not good for democracy. I welcome the decision." Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra says, "the relationship between Centre and State Government should be healthy."
