Dhanjeet Singh Virk is Punjab Genco chairman
The Punjab Government has appointed Dhanjeet Singh Virk as director on the Board of Directors and chairman of Punjab Genco Limited.

Dhanjeet Singh Virk took over the charge in the presence of New and Renewable Energy Minister Dr Raj Kumar Verka on Tuesday.

Virk was given the charge after controversy erupted on the appointment of Balwinder Singh Kotlabama, brother of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) office-bearers for the same post. Leaders of the BJP and the SAD attacked the Congress on his appointment and called the move as "open terror appeasement".
Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, Managing Director; MP Singh, Director; and other senior officials of Punjab Genco Limited were also present on the occasion.
