Diwali 2020: PM Modi, President Kovind, Sukhbir Singh Badal among others extend wishes

Diwali is the festival of lights and symbolizes “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”.

Even in the chaos of the coronavirus pandemic, the nation is gleaming with the festive vibes and people all over the country are celebrating Diwali.

PM Modi tweeted, “सभी देशवासियों को दीपावली की हार्दिक मंगलकामनाएं। Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali! May this festival further brightness and happiness. May everyone be prosperous and healthy.”

President of India, Ram Nath Kovind wished the nation tweeting, “दीवाली के शुभ अवसर पर, मैं सभी देशवासियों और विदेश में बसे सभी भारतीयों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूं। मेरी कामना है कि खुशियों और प्रकाश का यह महापर्व, देश के हर घर में सुख, शांति और समृद्धि का संचार करे।”

SAD President, Sukhbir Singh Badal wished everyone a prosperous Diwali and tweeted, “May the divine light of #Diwali spread into your life & bring peace, prosperity, happiness, good health & grand success. #HappyDiwali”

SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal also tweeted and wished, “The festival of #Diwaliteaches us to fight against evil and follow the path of goodness. May this divine occasion illuminate your life with peace, happiness, and affluence! #HappyDiwali” 

Amit Shah also wished the nation, “दीपावली का यह पवित्र पर्व सभी देशवासियों के जीवन में सुख और समृद्धि लाए, सभी के उत्तम स्वास्थ्य की कामना करता हूँ। दीपोत्सव की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं।”

Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh also extended Diwali wishes by tweeting, “My warm greetings to all Indians across the world on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Bandi Chhor Diwas & Children’s Day. I pray for happiness, health & prosperity for all our people. Please ensure everyone around you is taking full precautions against #Covid19.”
