Kangana Ranaut hits back at trolls using her film clips, says ‘Don’t mislead the youth’
PTC Web Desk: Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has strongly reacted to social media users who have been sharing scenes from her films and public appearances to criticise her following her recent controversial remarks about protesters. The Mandi MP from Himachal Pradesh said such posts are misleading young people by blurring the line between acting and real life.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana addressed those circulating old clips from her films and events.
She wrote that the videos being shared are from films in which she was professionally acting and from high-profile public events where she was surrounded by security personnel, event organisers and bouncers.
According to Kangana, comparing those situations with the behaviour of young people at public gatherings or protests is misleading.
"You are using clips from my films, for which I was paid crores of rupees to perform. You are also sharing videos from high-profile showbiz events where I am surrounded by my security team, bouncers and event planners. Are you trying to convince teenagers and young people that they should behave the same way on the streets, at school functions or in clubs?" she wrote.
The actress also warned social media users against influencing young audiences. She said misleading other people's children today could have consequences for their own families in the future.
"Stop misleading young people. These are not the same situations. Today you are misleading someone else's children, tomorrow the same could happen to yours," she added.

Kangana has been at the centre of a controversy since making remarks about young people who participated in protests organised under the banner of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
She had referred to Generation Z as "Generation Gutter" and criticised videos from the demonstrations, triggering strong reactions online.
Following those comments, several social media users began sharing old clips from Kangana's films and public appearances while criticising her statements.
Earlier, Kangana had also commented on videos from a protest held at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.
She described the visuals as a display of "filth and ugliness" and said she had never seen so much "ugliness" gathered in one place.
The actress also criticised the language used in some of the videos and questioned the upbringing of those participating, remarks that further fuelled the online debate.
The exchange has since sparked widespread discussion on social media, with supporters and critics continuing to debate Kangana Ranaut's comments and the reactions that followed.
