PTC Web Desk: Despite facing controversy and skipping its India release, 'Sardaar Ji 3' has made an impressive mark on the international box office. Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, and Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, the horror-comedy has grossed Rs 42.60 crore from overseas markets in just 10 days, making it the highest-grossing Punjabi film of 2025.

Directed by Amar Hundal, 'Sardaar Ji 3' enjoyed a robust second weekend, earning approximately Rs 9 crore. The film showed an impressive 40% drop in earnings compared to its opening weekend, indicating a solid and sustained interest from global audiences. However, the film did not record weekend collections in Pakistan due to cinema closures for Muharram, after earlier earning Rs 7 crore in the first week.

North America stands as Sardaar Ji 3’s largest market, contributing Rs 18.75 crore ($2.2 million), followed by Pakistan with Rs 7 crore ($830K) and the United Kingdom with Rs 6.25 crore ($725K). These strong overseas earnings place the film as the third-highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time, behind Jatt & Juliet 3 (Rs 57.50 crore) and Carry On Jatta 3 (Rs 46 crore). If the current momentum continues, Sardaar Ji 3 is on track to surpass both and become the highest-grossing Punjabi film ever in international markets.

Industry insiders predict that the film will soon cross the Rs 50 crore milestone overseas, cementing its status as a global blockbuster.

The film's decision to skip an India release was driven by controversy over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, which triggered protests in the wake of the Pahalgam attacks that claimed 26 lives. As a result, the makers withheld the film's release in India, a decision that has cost it substantial domestic revenue. Industry experts speculate that had Sardaar Ji 3 been released theatrically in India, it could have become the biggest Punjabi film globally.
