Gandhari trailer: Taapsee Pannu fights to rescue daughter in Netflix action thriller
PTC Web Desk: Taapsee Pannu is back with a role that looks unlike anything she has attempted before. Netflix has released the trailer of Gandhari, an action thriller that follows a mother’s dangerous mission to bring her kidnapped daughter home.
The trailer wastes little time establishing the emotional stakes. Taapsee plays Bani, whose daughter Mishty is abducted from a train right in front of her. While trying to save her child, Bani meets with a devastating accident and loses her eyesight.
But losing her vision does not make her give up. Instead, Bani begins a relentless search for her daughter, stepping into a world filled with danger, secrets and people whose motives are difficult to understand.

The trailer presents Taapsee in a raw and action-heavy avatar. Her character trains herself to face the challenges ahead and refuses to stop until she finds Mishty.
The story also introduces the mysterious Behrupiyas, adding another layer of danger to Bani's search. As the investigation unfolds, she encounters unexpected obstacles as well as potential allies.
Taapsee said the character’s determination was one of the biggest reasons she wanted to take up the project. She described Bani as someone who refuses to surrender even when circumstances are completely against her.
The actor also expressed excitement about reuniting with writer-producer Kanika Dhillon and Netflix, calling their creative association a partnership built on trust and a shared interest in stories featuring complex women.
The trailer has already generated a positive response online, with viewers praising Taapsee’s performance and the film’s intense premise.

Directed by Devashish Makhija and written and produced by Kanika Dhillon, Gandhari is set in the fictional town of Joypurra. Along the way, Bani is forced to confront hidden truths, growing threats and unexpected people who become part of her journey.
The film also features Ishwak Singh as Gokul, a father struggling with the disappearance of his daughter. Jatin Sarna plays Kabir, the police officer investigating a series of missing-girl cases. Swastika Mukherjee, Mita Vashisht and Chhaya Kadam are also part of the ensemble cast.
Gandhari will premiere on September 3 on Netflix. With its emotional mother-daughter story, mystery elements and Taapsee Pannu’s action-oriented performance, the film is shaping up as one of Netflix India’s notable upcoming releases.
