PTC News Desk: Actor Akhil Mishra, best known for his memorable role as librarian Dubey in the Bollywood film '3 Idiots,' has tragically passed away. The shocking news of his demise was exclusively reported by ETimes TV.

Sources reveal that at the time of the incident, Akhil's wife and fellow actress Suzanne Bernert was in Hyderabad for a shoot. Upon hearing the tragic news, she rushed back immediately. It is reported that the 58-year-old actor was in his kitchen when he slipped and sustained fatal injuries.


Akhil Mishra's body has been sent for post-mortem, and his grieving wife Suzanne has been overwhelmed by the sudden loss. She has taken charge of all the necessary arrangements and preparations for the cremation. In her grief, Suzanne shared, "My heart is broken, my second half is gone."

Akhil's career was marked by his versatile talent, as he made significant contributions to both television and film. He appeared in various TV shows such as 'Bhanwar,' 'Uttaran' (as Umed Singh Bundela), 'Udaan,' 'CID,' 'Shrimaan Shrimati,' 'Bharat Ek Khoj,' 'Rajani,' and many others.

In the realm of cinema, Akhil's notable works include 'Don,' 'Well Done Abba,' 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi,' and more. However, he gained widespread recognition for his brief yet impactful portrayal as Librarian Dubey in the blockbuster movie '3 Idiots,' starring Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R Madhavan, Boman Irani, and others. Additionally, he left a lasting impression with his role as Umed Singh Bundela in the popular TV series 'Uttaran.'

Akhil Mishra tied the knot with German actress Suzanne Bernert on February 3, 2009, followed by a traditional ceremony on September 30, 2011. Their professional collaborations included joint work in the film "Kram" and the television series "Mera Dil Dewaana" (Doordarshan), as well as sharing the stage. In 2019, the couple collaborated on a short film titled "Majnu ki Juliet," where Mishra not only acted but also wrote and directed.

Suzanne Bernert herself has an impressive television career, with roles in popular shows like 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay,' 'Savdhaan India,' 'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai,' 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat,' 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,' and 'Porus.'
