27,000 appointment letters issued under 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' scheme by Capt govt

“Ghar Ghar Rozgar” scheme by the Punjab government has turned out to be a success. Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh handed appointment letters to 25 youth at the time of launching the programme. About 27,000 appointment letters were issues at the event today. The 11 day job fest was held at 21 places across the state over the last two weeks.   27,000 appointment letters issued under 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' scheme by Capt govt Three major private universities participated; hundreds of their students were ferried to the venue to make the attendance impressive. Appreciating the government officials and educational institutions for working overtime in a first-of-its-kind initiative, Amarinder said a record 27,000 jobs, including 3,000 in government sector, were generated. The CM said a total of 4 lakh youths had turned up at the job fests. Enthralled by the success, the government has decided to hold the next job fest in February next year. 27,000 appointment letters issued under 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' scheme by Capt govt “Promoting a congenial atmosphere in the state will boost investments, thus paving the way for the creation of enormous job opportunities,” he added. Appointment letters presented to youth ranged a salary package from Rs. 1.25 lakh to Rs 21 lakh per annum, Captain said. The plan was to generate 2.8 lakh jobs in the private sector and recruit 50,000 youth in government department. -PTC News
