Harsimrat Badal urges PM Modi to take up issues concerning Sikhs in Iran with Hassan Rouhani. Union Cabinet Minister of Food Processing, Harsimrat Kaur Badal twitted a letter on Saturday morning urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take up the issues faced by the Sikh Community in Iran, with the President of Iran , Mr. Hassan Rouhani. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, is on a three-day visit to India. 'Highlighted the concerns of Sikh community in Iran with PM Sh. Ji. Requested him to take up the matter with President of Iran, His Excellency, Mr. Hassan Rouhani during his scheduled visit to India. Hope their grievances would be addressed soon!', she wrote on twitter. Posted the letter  along with the Tweet  - Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the Hyderabad House in Delhi on Saturday morning. The two leaders will discuss various issues with regard to ties between Iran and India. Both nations want to deepen their cultural relations and deepen economic ties. Bilateral talks will follow, at the end of which both leaders will give a joint statement. The talks will last nearly 2 hours, following which both countries will sign and exchange agreements. -PTC News
