Haryana extends Covid-19 lockdown, earlier relaxations to continue

In a major development, the Haryana government on Sunday extended the Covid-19 lockdown allowing various relaxations permitted earlier to continue. The relaxations, announced earlier, include opening of restaurants, bars, malls, clubhouses and shops. The other relaxations include conduct of entrance and recruitment examination by various universities, institutes or government departments and recruitment agencies. All Covid-19 related guidelines in Haryana, including those related to social distancing, sanitisation and seating capacity, will have to be followed, the order added. As per earlier orders, the universities and colleges in the state were allowed to reopen for students for doubt while practical classes in laboratories, practical examinations and offline exams were allowed with strict adherence to the Covid-related norms. Haryana extends lockdown till July 5 with more relaxations - Know what's allowed Meanwhile, the Vice-chancellors of state universities were advised to come out with a plan regarding the reopening of universities from the next academic session. They were asked to share the programme of the same with the concerned department of the state government. The focus will continue to be on the five-fold strategy for the effective Covid-19 management i.e. test-trace-track-vaccination and adherence of Covid-appropriate behaviour. Haryana government termed the Covid-19 lockdown “Mahamari Alert-Surakshit Haryana (Epidemic Alert-Safe Haryana)”.
