India-Pakistan trade resumes as nationwide strike ends

India-Pakistan trade back on the Attari border resumed trade.

The nationwide strike by the All India Motor Transport Congress has finally ended after days of protest by millions of truckers across the country, here on Saturday.
The trade between both the nations has resumed at the Attari Border. There were 88 trucks of gypsum, cement, coconut, dried fruit and other commodities were received from Pakistan, whereas 6 trucks of cotton went to Pakistan as the trade begun.
Millions of truckers from across the country had gone on an indefinite strike demanding a slew of actions from government, including lowering diesel prices and toll fees. All India Motor Transport Congress held an indefinite National Chakka Jam starting July 20, 2018 against the oppressive policies of government.
