India releases 7 and Pakistan Releases 29 Prisoners Ahead Of Independence Day As a goodwill gesture, India released 7 and Pakistan released 29 prisoners on this Independence Day, officials confirmed here on Monday. Gzanand Sharma returned to India after serving 36 years in different jails of Pakistan. Gzanand Sharma was a resident of Rajasthan. After being released, he is unable to speak. Prisoners released from jails of both the countries thanked the government of the release.
