Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces gun down two suspected terrorists in Anantnag sector

Two unidentified terrorists were gunned down by the security forces during the encounter, confirmed the Kashmir Zone Police.

Jammu and Kashmir Anantnag Encounter: In a major incident, the security forces gunned down at least two suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag sector on Saturday.

As per the reports, an encounter broke out between security forces and the suspected terrorists in the Kwarigam area of Ranioura, Anantnag, Jammu, and Kashmir.

It comes a day after J&K Police along with security forces arrested a terrorist of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Bandipora district. The security forces also recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.

According to the information, the police received specific input regarding the movement of terrorists in Hajin town.

4 Terrorists Killed In Encounter In Jammu And Kashmir's Rajouri District

During the checking at Naka, one person was behaving in a suspicious manner. He was apprehended by the joint Naka party, a police official said.

He has been identified as Muzammil Sheikh alias Abu Maviya. He is a resident of Chandergeer Hajin. During the search operation, police recovered arms and ammunition including a Chinese pistol, along with live rounds.

The said terrorist had recently joined proscribed terror outfit LeT. He was given a task to carry out subversive activities in and around Hajin town.
