Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Lambi constituency is located in the Muktsar district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Parkash Singh from Shiromani Akali Dal won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Lambi.
He won the 2017 elections by defeating Captain Amarinder Singh of Congress with a margin of 22,770 votes.
Voters
According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,55,816. 168 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections.
A total of 1,33,586 votes were cast in the Lambi constituency and the percentage was 85.73%, which was recorded higher than the state average.
Candidates
Aam Aadmi Party's Jarnail Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal's Parkash Singh and Congress' Amarinder Singh were MLA candidates for the Lambi constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections.
Parkash Singh (SAD) grabbed 66,375 votes, while Amarinder Singh (Congress) got 43,605 votes. Jarnail Singh (AAP) managed to get 21,254 votes.
