Ludhiana Central Jail Firing Incident: Police registers case against 20 inmates

Ludhiana Central Jail Firing Incident: Punjab Police on Friday, has registered a case against the 20 inmates in connection with the clashes that broke out in the central jail of Ludhiana, yesterday. The Punjab police have registered the case under section 307 of Indian Penal Code (Attempt to Murder). The incident took place on Thursday, when several inmates attacked police officials of Ludhiana Central Jail, even fired bullets on them. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1144503426098880512 The Punjab Police retaliated the incident and hence, there were several inmates who tried to escape, but they were brought back later. Ludhiana Jail clash made four senior police officers injured who were rushed to the civil hospital for the treatment. Also, one of the prisoners was shot dead during the Ludhiana Central Jail incident. Likewise, Pradeep Aggarwal DC said that the incident took place following the death of an inmate due to health conditions.  However, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has ordered a magisterial inquiry over the Ludhiana Jail Clash. Likewise, Jail Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa reached the hospital to meet the injured where people staged a protest against him. Meanwhile, the situation was brought under control after hours of operation that took place in Ludhiana Central jail. -PTC News
