Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Mukerian constituency is located in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Rajneesh Kumar Babbi won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Mukerian. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Arunesh Shakar with a margin of 23,126 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,85,935. 240 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,34,876 votes were cast in the constituency Mukerian and the percentage of 72.54 %, which was recorded lower than the state average. Candidates Independent candidate Jangi Lal Mahajan, Bharatiya Janata Party's Arunesh and Congress' Rajnish Kumar Babbi were MLA candidates for Mukerian constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Rajnish Kumar Babbi (Congress) won with 56,787 votes, while Arunesh Kumar (BJP) got 33,661 votes. Independent candidate Jangi Lal Mahajan managed to win 20,542 votes.
