Ayodhya Deepotsav: Ayodhya's Deepotsav celebrations in Uttar Pradesh set a new world record, with over 25 lakh earthen lamps being illuminated simultaneously. Initially aiming to light 28 lakh diyas, the organisers succeeded in lighting exactly 25,12,585 lamps, creating a breathtaking golden glow along the Sarayu river.
The event celebrated the spiritual, cultural, and traditional essence of Ayodhya, featuring performances from artists representing six countries—Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Indonesia—alongside a special Ram Leela performance from Uttarakhand. Artists from across Indian states also showcased their talents during the festivities.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in the celebrations by performing an 'aarti' and leading a chariot procession featuring Ramayan performers. This year's Deepotsav holds special significance as it is the first to take place after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Mandir.

Adding to the grandeur of the event, 18 elaborate tableaux were crafted by Saket Mahavidyalaya, with 11 provided by the Information Department and seven by the Tourism Department. These tableaux depicted scenes from Tulsidas's Ramcharitmanas, covering important episodes from the Bal Kand to the Uttar Kand.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Jaiveer Singh highlighted the significance of this year's Deepotsav, noting the special efforts made to enhance the grandeur and spiritual aura of the event following the Ram Mandir’s completion.
