Bihar uncertainty: BJP MLA hints at PM Modi's support, sets 2-Day deadline

PTC News Desk: As political uncertainty swirls in Bihar, BJP MLA Gyanendra Singh Gyanu dropped a significant hint, stating that if JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar aligns with the BJP, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) could secure all 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The remark follows speculations of Kumar considering a break from ally RJD to forge an alliance with the BJP.

Gyanu emphasised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's favourable view of Nitish Kumar and expressed confidence that "everything will be sorted out in two days." He declared a forthcoming change, asserting that Nitish Kumar is prepared for it. Gyanu's optimism extended to the belief that the NDA would triumph in all 40 Bihar Lok Sabha seats if Kumar joins hands with the BJP.

Adding to the discourse, BJP MLA Tarkishore Prasad underscored the dynamic nature of politics, stating that "doors never close." He mentioned a recent meeting where Bihar BJP leaders discussed Lok Sabha elections, emphasising the party's commitment to decisions benefiting Bihar and national development. Prasad concluded by affirming that central party leadership would make decisions aligning with Bihar's interests.

The statements from BJP MLAs come at a time of heightened political speculation, raising questions about potential realignments and alliances in Bihar. As the two-day deadline looms, political dynamics in the state remain fluid, awaiting further developments and decisions from key players.

INDIA Bloc asserts stability amidst speculations: Congress and RJD optimistic about Nitish Kumar's loyalty

As speculations about the political landscape in Bihar intensify, the INDIA bloc, led by Nitish Kumar, attempts to dispel concerns and affirm stability within the alliance. While certain quarters anticipate a potential shift, key partners, Congress and RJD, express optimism about Nitish Kumar's commitment to the Bihar Mahagathbandhan.

Congress leader Prem Chandra Mishra confidently asserts that Nitish Kumar remains firmly aligned with the INDIA alliance. Mishra emphasizes Kumar's resolve to oust the BJP from power, asserting trust in the Chief Minister's determination. RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari echoes this sentiment, proclaiming that "all is well" within the Bihar government. Tiwari dismisses attempts to topple the government, emphasizing its resilience against external pressures.

The political landscape in Bihar has witnessed fluctuations in Nitish Kumar's alliances over the years. While he successfully defeated the BJP in the 2015 assembly elections in collaboration with the RJD, Kumar later severed ties with Lalu Yadav's party and joined the NDA. In 2022, he once again parted ways with the NDA and rekindled his alliance with the Mahagathbandhan, forming a government with Lalu Yadav's party.

Addressing recent developments, JD(U) claims that "all is well" within the INDIA bloc. KD Tyagi, a prominent leader of the JD(U), asserts that Nitish Kumar's recent comment on "dynasty politics" was not directed at the RJD, further emphasizing the unity and strength of the alliance.

As Bihar continues to navigate through the intricate web of political dynamics, the expressions of confidence from the INDIA bloc partners signal their collective determination to weather challenges and maintain stability within the alliance. The coming days are poised to reveal the resilience and adaptability of Bihar's political landscape.
