BJP leader-bizman's murder: Accused shot dead in dramatic encounter in Bihar's Malsalami
PTC News Desk: BJP leader and well known businessman Gopal Khemka's amurder accused was killed in a police encounter on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Vikas alias Raja who was involved in the manufacturing and selling of illegal weapons. Vikas opened fire at the police as soon as he saw the cops. He was killed in a retaliatory firing. Earlier, cops arrested Umesh, the main shooter accused of murdering the businessman.
“Both persons have been held in Patna by a joint team of Special Task Force and Patna Police. The investigation is in progress. We will be able to divulge more details in due course," an officer said.
Bihar's prominent businessman and BJP leader Gopal Khemka was shot dead outside his residence in Patna. Two bike-borne assailants opened multiple rounds of fire and shot at BJP leader on July 4, in a similar manner his son was gunned down six years ago in Hajipur.
The high profile murder case has put the state government in a tight spot especially when the state is gearing for assembly elections. The Opposition, the RJD and the Congress, are now targeting the state government over Bihar's law and order situation.
