Covid-19 spreads in India: 5,880 Covid cases in last 24 hours
Coronavirus Update: India recorded 5,880 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 4,47,62,496 according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.
The active cases have increased to 35,199, while the death toll has risen to 5,30,979 with 14 new fatalities. There were four deaths each reported from states like Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, one each was reported from Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and two reconciled by Kerala, the data updated by Union Health Ministry at 8 am stated.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 6.91 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 3.67 per cent. The number of people who have recovered from the virus surged to 4,41,96,318, with a recovery rate of 98.73 per cent. 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far.
