Delhi Fire : Following the heart-wrenching incident when 27 persons were killed in Gujarat's Rajkot city when a massive fire swept through a game zone, another spine-chilling incident unfolded in New Delhi which plunged the city into mourning

                    


In a horrific and dreadful incident, a massive fire broke out at the New Born Baby Care Hospital in in Delhi's Vivek Vihar in the late hours of Saturday, leading to the tragic death of seven newborns and leaving several others in critical condition.

 

The incident has plunged the city into mourning and raised serious concerns about fire safety measures in medical facilities.

As per the Delhi Fire Department, a total of 12 children were rescued, out of which six have died, one is on the ventilator and five are admitted to the hospital.

The rescued newborns have been shifted to East Delhi Advance NICU hospital.

Police officials and firefighters received the call of fire at around 11:32 pm and swiftly deployed 16 fire tenders at the site .

Two buildings were impacted by the blaze— the hospital building and two floors of an adjacent residential building.

 

Eleven to twelve people were rescued and transported to the hospital. 

The devastating fire at New Born Baby Care Hospital has cast a pall of sorrow over Delhi. As investigations continue, the priority remains on ensuring the safety and recovery of the surviving infants and addressing the systemic issues that led to this tragedy.
