Delhi Police imposes Section 144 in these areas ahead of Independence Day 2023, check list
Independence Day 2023: Ahead of Independence Day 2023, Delhi Police tightened security and imposed prohibitory orders under CrPC Section 144 in several areas of New Delhi in order to maintain law and order situation of the national capital of India.
Taking to their official Twitter handle (now known as X), Delhi Police announced the implementation of Section 144 in several areas of Delhi and wrote, "In view of Independence Day celebrations, Section 144 of CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure) has been invoked in areas nearby Rajghat, ITO, Red Fort etc. No gathering of any kind is permitted in these areas.”

Prohibition on operation of sub-conventional airborne devices
Ahead of occasion of Independence Day 2023 which is celebrated on August, Delhi Police also imposed prohibition on the sub-conventional airborne devices such as paragliding, hand gliding, hot air balloons, powered aircraft, para-jumping , etc.
The restriction on the aerial devices has been imposed within national capital from July 22 to August 16 due to security reasons.
Notably, Independence Day 2023 is celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism on August 15th every year. This day marks the anniversary of India's independence from British colonial rule in 1947. The main event takes place at the historic Red Fort in Delhi, where the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag and delivers a speech addressing the nation.
