Hit-and-run case: Man dies as car rams bike, drives for 18 km with body on roof

Hit-and-run case: In a tragic, dreadful and spine-chilling incident, a car driver rammed into biker and drove for 18 kilometres with the victim's body on the roof of the vehicle. 

The fatal incident unfolded near Kothapalli in Atmakuru Mandal in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday night when the car collided with biker, causing biker to be thrown into the air and subsequently onto the car, where he succumbed to his injuries.


The driver of the car drove for about 18 kilometers without stopping, eventually stopping at Hanimireddypalli before fleeing the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the full sequence of events surrounding the incident.

The driver fled the scene and is still at large, but a murder case has been registered, and efforts are underway to apprehend the driver.

Sub-Inspector Atmakuru Muneer Ahmed reported that upon receiving reports of the accident involving an Innova vehicle, law enforcement officers swiftly responded and initiated an investigation. However, the body of the deceased biker was not initially found at the scene. 

The driver, whose identity remains unknown, fled the scene after triggering an alarm. Nevertheless, authorities have acquired pertinent information, including the vehicle's registration number, and have activated the mobile phone discovered in the vehicle for additional investigation.
