Inderpreet Parry murder case: Kabaddi player and club owner among five arrested by Delhi Police special cell

PTC Web Desk:  The special cell of the Delhi Police have arrested five alleged members of the Aarzoo–Anmol Bishnoi–Harry Boxer crime syndicate in connection with the murder of Inderpreet Singh, popularly known as Parry, officials said on Wednesday.

Parry was shot dead on December 1 in Chandigarh’s Sector 26, near the Timber Market, shortly after he stepped out of a nightclub. According to investigators, he was attacked at close range while seated in his Kia Seltos. The shooter, who was sitting in the passenger seat, opened fire before fleeing the spot in a Hyundai Creta along with accomplices.

Among those arrested are national-level kabaddi player Sonu Nolta and Ashu Mahajan, the owner of Lion Bar and Restaurant. The police said the accused were wanted in multiple cases across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

Following the killing, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility through a social media post, alleging the murder was carried out in retaliation for the killing of their financier, Sippa, in Dubai. The post also accused Parry of extortion and involvement in the Dubai murder.

However, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar later released an audio statement rejecting these claims. Brar described Parry as a close and loyal friend, stating that his only mistake was trusting the Bishnoi gang. He also denied allegations that Parry was extorting nightclub owners or had any role in Sippa’s killing.

Police officials said further investigations are underway to establish the roles of all accused and to trace other members of the syndicate involved in planning and executing the murder.
