Woman doctor deplaned from Air India flight after she threatened to crash plane

PTC News Desk: As people are still grappling with paranoia following the fatal Ahmedabad plane crash, another threat to crash the flight has sent chills down the spine. A 36-year-old lady doctor from Bengaluru was deplaned from the Air India flight from Bengaluru to Surat after she threatened to crash the plane following a dispute over luggage.

The woman identified as Dr Vyas Hiral Mohanbhai was deplaned on Tuesday afternoon on charges of Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act 1982. The incident occurred before the flight was scheduled to depart to Surat. It is said that the woman was offloaded before takeoff.

According to the reports, Mohanbhai indulged in an argument with the crew after they objected to her putting her hand luggage on the first row of the aircraft before moving to her seat. The crew urged her to put her luggage in the overhead compartment to which she became oblivious and started yelling at the crew.

The altercation intensified after she also misbehaved with fellow passengers and threatened to crash the plane. Following the incident, the crew called upon the airport security and escorted her out of the plane.

The women continued to display violent behaviour even after she was taken to the police station. She was charged under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
