PTC News Desk: A significant explosion occurred this morning near the CRPF school in Rohini, Delhi, causing damage to the school's wall but fortunately resulting in no reported casualties. The blast took place at approximately 7:47 am, prompting immediate responses from forensic teams and officers from the Delhi Police special cell to determine the cause of the explosion.

Eyewitness Accounts and Immediate Response

Residents nearby reported hearing a loud noise followed by a cloud of smoke rising from the vicinity of the explosion. One local resident captured the event on video, stating, “I was at home. I heard a loud sound, saw a cloud of smoke, and recorded the video. I do not know anything more. A police team and an ambulance have reached the spot.”


Upon arrival, police officials confirmed the incident and began assessing the damage. Senior police officer Amit Goel mentioned that experts had been called in to investigate the cause of the blast. In subsequent updates, the police indicated that they had not found any suspicious materials at the scene and were examining the underground sewage line as part of their inquiry.

Damage and Safety Measures

Local residents reported that the explosion shattered window panes of vehicles parked near the school and damaged signboards of nearby shops. According to a police statement, “Today at 07:47 hrs, a PCR call was received informing that a blast with lots of noise took place near the CRPF school, Sector 14, Rohini. The SHO and staff reached the spot, where the school wall was found damaged and a foul smell was detected. The windows of nearby shops and parked cars were also found to be damaged, but no injuries were reported.”

The police response included a crime team, forensic science laboratory (FSL) team, and bomb disposal squad being summoned to the scene. The area has been cordoned off as investigators work to establish the cause of the explosion, while a fire brigade team is also on standby.

Authorities are treating the incident seriously and are conducting a thorough investigation to ensure public safety. As of now, there are no further details regarding the explosion's origin, but police continue to work diligently to resolve the matter and prevent any future incidents.
