Power outage at Delhi airport disrupts operations; boarding and check-in facilities impacted

PTC Web Desk: A power outage at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has disrupted operations, including boarding and check-in facilities, according to CNBC-TV18.

Passengers reported that the T3 terminal at Delhi airport was closed due to a power outage, with Digi Yatra and the check-in counter not working.

Taking to X, a user wrote, “T3 terminal #delhi #airport totally choked due to power failure! No counter, No digi yatra, nothing functioning. This is shocking.”

The Delhi airport responded that they had taken note of the feedback and had forwarded it to the concerned team for further investigation.

The outage lasted two to three minutes before the power was restored and processes such as baggage loading at boarding gates, DigiYatra, and air conditioning were restarted, according to an airport official.

“Due to the high AC load, it took a couple of minutes to return to full power. Systems like the Digi Yatra rebooted again and were operational soon after,” the official added.
