Seven killed, several injured in explosion at firecracker godown in Tamil Nadu's Ariyalur
Explosion at firecracker godown: An explosion at a firecracker godown on Monday killed seven individuals and injured many more in Tamil Nadu's Ariyalur, police said.
According to officials, a massive fire broke out at around 10.20 pm after the explosion in Vetriyur Viragalur in Ariyalur district.
After receiving information about the incident, Ariyalur District Collector J Anne Mary Swarna and District Superintendent of Police (SP) K Feroze Khan Abdullah rushed to the scene.
According to authorities, the injured were taken to a nearby government hospital and are being treated.
An investigation is currently underway, and more information is awaited.
