Soldier martyred as Army thwarts terrorist infiltration bid in J&K's Poonch
PTC News Desk: A soldier was killed in the line of duty after the Army foiled a terrorist infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district early Tuesday.
According to reports, Lance Naik Subash Kumar was injured in the intense gunfight and later succumbed to the injuries. Terrorists too suffered "loss", officials added.
The post-mortem has been completed, and the soldier's body has been turned over to the Army, according to a police official.
Officials stated a search effort had been begun in the region.
